Your manuscripts are your IP

Everything you write, generate, or upload — ideas, outlines, chapters, covers — belongs to you. We store it so the app works (autosave, version history, exports), and we never sell it, never show it to other users, and never use it to train models without your explicit opt-in. Draft and unpublished books are never indexed by search engines.

AI processing & data retention

Generation sends your prompts to our model provider to produce chapters and covers. We use providers offering zero-retention or no-training-on-API-data terms where available, keep generation logs only for billing transparency and dispute handling, and sign data-processing agreements (DPAs) with subprocessors. Request an export or deletion of your data anytime from your account page.

Account, payments & email

We store your email, handle, and profile so you can sign in and publish under your name. Payments and subscriptions run through Polar as Merchant of Record — card details go to Polar, never to us. Transactional email (receipts, download links, lifecycle reminders) is sent via Resend; every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Analytics & cookies

We use privacy-light Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to keep pages fast — no cross-site ad trackers, no social pixels in the MVP. Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember anonymous briefs; nothing else follows you around the web.

Your rights

Access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time — including EU GDPR and California CCPA requests. Deleting your account deletes your manuscripts, covers, and sites (exported files you downloaded are yours to keep). Contact us at the support address on your account page and we respond within 30 days.
